Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme
MiDAS is regulated by CTA Community Transport Association
MiDAS is available to any organisation operating or using minibuses. Organisations that train their drivers in MiDAS range from small voluntary organisations with one vehicle, to local authorities operating large fleets of minibuses as well as schools, colleges and universities.
The registration lasts 4 Years. Register via CTAUK.ORG You have a 3 month grace period.
If you make an enquiry via my site, I will only keep the Name & Employers Name. All other information and paperwork goes to CTA.
6,700 companies are registered with MiDAS. 400,000 drivers
A DAT is a Driver Assessor/Trainer who is trained to deliver the MiDAS course and carry out the Standard of Driving Check on the MiniBus.
The Classroom delivery is 3.5 hours and the Standards check on the Minibus is at LEAST 30 minutes.
